Darius is a Lithuanian-born artist based in Lincolnshire and was the creative designer behind the striking ceramic poppy installation at Bomber Command Centre. Darius and his team handcrafted over 20,000 unique ceramic poppies. He then led the small group of volunteers in arranging the poppies into the silhouette of a Lancaster Bomber creating a poignant tribute to those who served during World War II.
Inspired by his admiration for the Dambusters, Darius also created a special feature of 617 poppies mounted in the IBCC’s Memorial Spire. His dedication to this project reflects a deep commitment to remembrance and education.
As well as his regular customers, Darius is also available for 'one-off' commissions, if you would like more information on how his commission work then please email Darius by clicking this link or the banner below.
